SAFETY RULES, INDOOR RANGE
Members and guests only.
Eye and ear protection is required.
Sign in and out on the book on the table next to the door.
No shotguns.
No rifles above 22 caliber.
No Black Powder guns.
No jacketed bullets.
No magnum ammunition, including 22 magnum.
Use only target velocity ammunition, below 1000 feet per second.
When two or more people are using the range, one will act as the range officer.
Range officer will:
- Insure all firearms are empty and safe before people go down range.
- Make sure no one is down range before allowing shooting to begin.
- Put up the rope between the shooting benches and wall while shooting.
- Coordinate with other shooters when to go down range to hang or check targets.
- Remind other shooters there will be no careless handling of firearms.
- The decisions of the acting range officer are final.
All shooting must be straight down range, stay in lanes.
Keep shots within the outlined target area.
No full automatic or simulated full automatic allowed.
Take down targets when finished shooting, keep the range clean.
Pick up empty cartridges and cases, etc.
Report any concerns, problems or suggestions to the Board of Directors.
