March 2nd the U.S. Supreme Court will hear oral
arguments in the McDonald v
Alan Gura
will argue that the Second Amendment applies to the states thru the 14th
Amendment. This case is much more than a 2nd Amendment gun case
because of the way Gura is approaching the case. The
14th Amend. was ratified in 1868 after the
Civil War to apply the Bill of Rights to the states. Many southern states
enacted “Black Codes” after the war. The Federal gov. then passed the Civil Rights act of 1866. The
States said the Federal gov. had no Constitutional
power to pass such laws. So the 14th Amend. was
passed. During the debates in Congress the right to keep and bear arms was
talked about as one of the rights that would be restored to newly freed blacks
by enacting this amendment. The big problem is that in 1873 the Slaughter House
case basically killed the 14th. For nearly 100 years most all the
“legal minds” have said that Slaughter house is a wrong legal decision. Alan Gura is not only trying to kill the
Gun control laws have
there roots in racism. Well most, NY gun laws were started by “Big Tim
Sullivan” a NY city crime boss/politician (redundant). That should tell people
something, NY gun laws were put in place by the “mob”.
14th Amendment section 1: “No State
shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities
of citizens of the
Article IV section 2 of US Constitution: “The Citizens of each State shall be entitled to
all Privileges and Immunities of Citizens in the several States “
Privileges and Immunities = civil rights.
